Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt resume shooting for Brahmastra in Bulgaria

Alia Bhatt left for Bulgaria earlier today for the shoot of Ayan Mukerji’s fantasy adventure, Brahmastra. Ranbir Kapoor fl ies out tomorrow and will join her a day later in the East European country. For this schedule none of the other actors — Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna or Mouni Roy — will be present. The actors will be together for the next 15 days, fi lming highoctane action sequences. They have been training with Israeli fi tness trainer and movement coach Ido Portal since January, prepping for the stunts that will all be shot during the current schedule
A source from the team reveals that Alia has been working really hard on her body and has lost a lot of weight in the past few weeks because she wants to be in perfect shape for these sequences. “Brahmastra is the first film in Ayan’s fantasy-adventure trilogy and during the last schedule for the first instalment in Bulgaria all the pivotal action scenes will be shot,” adds the source.

Once this is done, Alia and RK are scheduled to resume shooting in Mumbai only in November, with the Big B, Nagarjuna and Mouni. “Ayan is aiming for a wrap-up by January,” informs the source.

The film’s leads had spent the last New Year’s Eve training with Ido in Tel Aviv. The trio had rung in the festivities at a club. In March, Alia hurt her shoulder while filming an action sequence in Bulgaria immediately after her 25th birthday and was advised to take it easy for a few weeks. She returned to India with her arm in a sling.
